Applications in the prescribed format are invited for filling up the following posts in
the National Institute of Siddha, on Direct Recruitment/Deputation/Contractual
basis:
Vacancy Details
Post Name:
(1) Professor (Maruthuvam)-01 post- On deputation/Contractual basis
(2) Professor (Sirappu Maruthuvam)-01 post - On deputation/Contractual basis
(both teaching posts)
Deputation basis:
a. Scale of Pay: Rs.37400-67000 with Grade Pay: Rs.8700 +NPA.
b. Educational Qualification & Experience:
i)PG qualification in Siddha in the concerned subject recognized by CCIM.
ii) 05 years regular service in the Pay scale of 15600-39100 + 7600 or its equivalent
as Reader / Associate Professor or incumbent is holding analogous post in the same
pay scale
c. Maximum Age limit: 56 years as on 1.1.2014
Contractual basis:
a. Consolidated pay Rs. 55,000/- p.m.
b. Educational Qualification & Experience:
i. Faculty members who already worked as Professor in the Departments concerned
in PG education: OR
i) PG qualification in Siddha in the concerned subject recognized by CCIM
ii) 7 years as Reader (Associate Professor) in PG teaching in the concerned subject
or 12 yrs combined experience in PG teaching in the subject concerned (as Reader
/Associate Professor/Asst. Professor) and Research and Admn.
Desirable:
1. Ph.D in Siddha
2. Extensive experience in Research /Admn
3. Working knowledge in Tamil & English
c. Maximum Age limit: 64 years as on 1.1.2014.
These posts are proposed to be filled up on deputation basis for a period of 2 years
failing which on Contractual basis for a period of one year or till the post is filled on
regular basis whichever is earlier.
3. Assistant Professor (Modern Medicine) -01 post – reserved for candidates
belonging to SC category– on direct recruitment/deputation basis (Teaching post)
Direct Recruitment:
a. Scale of Pay: Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay: Rs.6600+NPA.
b. Educational Qualification:
Essential M.D. (General Medicine)/Internal Medicine or Post-Graduate Diploma in
General Medicine.
Experience: Atleast 3 years experience in teaching / Research in the relevant field.
Note: In case experienced candidates are not available, candidates with 60%
aggregate in M.B.B.S./M.D./P.G. Diploma may be considered.
c. Maximum Age limit: 50 years as on last date for receipt of application
Deputation:
Faculty members/officers in recognized Medical Colleges/Govt. Health Service in the
pay scale of Rs.8000-13500 (Revised Scale Rs.15600-39100+5400) and having
essential educational qualification as prescribed for direct recruitment. Maximum Age
limit: 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
(4) Dy. Medical Superintendent/Medical Officer -01 post – UR– on direct
recruitment basis (Teaching post)
a. Scale of Pay: Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay: Rs.5400+NPA.
b. Essential Qualification: PG Degree in Siddha as recognized in the Indian Medicine
Central Council Act, 1970
c. Desirable qualification:
(i) Working experience in a functional Siddha hospital
(ii) Degree/Diploma in Hospital Management
(iii) Experience in Research in a recognized organization.
c. Maximum Age limit: 35 years as on last date for receipt of application
5. Statistical Assistant -01 post-UR-on direct recruitment basis (Non-Teaching
post)
a. Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay Rs.2800.
b. Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Statistics from a recognized University.
c. Maximum Age limit: 30 years as on 1.1.2014.
6. Lower Division Clerk -01 post- – reserved for candidates belonging to SC
category– on direct recruitment (Non-Teaching post)
a. Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay Rs.1900.
b. Essential Qualification:
(1) Higher Secondary from a recognized State Board of Education.
(2) Typing speed prescribed as per DOPT norms
c. Maximum Age limit: 28 years as on the last date for receipt of application.
7. Nursing Assistant -06 post- – (05-UR and 01-OBC)– on direct recruitment (Non-
Teaching post)
a. Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade pay Rs.1900.
b. Essential Qualification:
(1) Secondary School Certificate or equivalent from a recognized State Board.
(2) One year certificate course in nursing.
c. Desirable qualification: Experience in a reputed hospital.
c. Maximum Age limit: 28 years as on the last date for receipt of application.
