Post at Sr.No.1 : Dean (Films)
(a) Essential
(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
(ii) Diploma from FTII or equivalent in Film or Television Direction/ Production
(iii) At least eight years’ professional experience in a responsible capacity in film Direction/Production /training including two years of administrative or managerial experience in organization or institution of repute.
OR
(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) At least ten years’ professional experience in a responsible capacity in film direction/production /training including two years of administrative or managerial experience in organization or institution of repute.
Candidates are required to produce evidence of professional work done.
(b) Desirable
(i) Teaching Experience
(ii) Good knowledge of Indian and International Cinema.
Post at Sr.No.2 : Professor of TV Production
(a) Essential
(i) Degree of a recognized University;
(ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Film or Television Direction/ Production from a recognized University or Institution;
(iii) At least 6 years’ professional experience including teaching of television production in an organization or institution of repute.
OR
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University;
(ii) At least 8 years’ experience including teaching of television production in an organization or institution of repute.
OR
(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;
(ii) At least 10 years’ professional experience including teaching of television production in an organization or institution of repute.
(b) Desirable
Good knowledge of Film & TV medium in India and abroad.
Post at Sr.No.3 : Professor of Screenplay Writing
(a) Essential
(i) Degree of a recognized University;
(ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Film Direction/Screenplay Writing from a recognized University or Institution;
(iii) At least 6 years’ professional experience as a Script Writer for films including teaching in an organization or institution of repute.
OR
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University;
(ii) At least 8 years’ professional experience as a Script Writer for films including teaching in an organsiation or institution of repute.
OR
(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;
(ii) At least 10 years’ professional experience as a Script Writer for films including teaching in an organization or institution of repute.

(a) Essential

Post at Sr.No.6 : Associate Professor of Acting
(a) Essential
(i) Degree of a recognized University;
(ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Film Acting from a recognized University or Institution;
(iii) At least 4 years’ professional experience of Acting or including experience of teaching acting for films or for the stage in institution or organization of repute.
OR
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;
(ii) At least 6 years’ professional experience of Acting or including experience of teaching acting for films or for the stage in institution or organization of repute.
OR
(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
(ii) At least 8 years’ professional experience of Acting or including experience of teaching acting for films or for the stage in institution or organization of repute.

b) Desirable

Post at Sr.No.7 : Associate Professor of Film Direction
(a) Essential
(i) Degree of a recognized University;

(iii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching as a Motion Picture Production or direction Executive in an organization or Institution of repute.
OR
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;

(ii) At least 6 years’ professional experience including teaching as a Motion Picture Production or Direction Executive in an organsiation or Institution of repute.

OR

(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;

(ii) At least 8 years’ professional experience including teaching as a Motion Picture Production or Direction Executive in an organization or institution of repute.

Good knowledge of Film & TV medium in India and abroad.


Post at Sr.No.8 : Assistant Professor of Sound Recording


a) Essential


(i) Degree of a recognized University;

(ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Sound Recording from a recognized University or Institute;

(iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film/TV Production or training.

OR

(i) Master's Degree of a recognized University in Telecommunication Engineering;

(ii) At least 4 years' professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film/TV Production or training.

OR

(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;

(ii) At least 5 years' professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film/TV Production or training.


(b) Desirable

Post at Sr.No.9 : Assistant Professor Editing (TV)


(a) Essential


(i) Degree of a recognized University;

(iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Motion Picture Photography or Cinematography in an organization or institution of repute.

(ii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching in Motion Picture Photography or Cinematography in an organization or institution of repute.

Post at Sr.No.11 : Assistant Professor Cinematography

(iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Motion Picture Photography or Cinematography in an organization or institution of repute.

Post at Sr. No.12 : Assistant Professor TV Technical Operations


(a) Essential


(i) Degree in Engineering of a recognized University;

(ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Telecommunication/Electronics from a recognized University or Institute;

(iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Technical Operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an organization or Institution of repute.

OR

(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Telecommunication Engineering;

(ii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching in Technical Operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an institution or organization of repute.

OR

(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;

(ii) At least 5 years’ professional experience including teaching in Technical Operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an institution or organization of repute.

Post at Sr. No.13 : Assistant Professor TV Engineering


(a) Essential


(i) Degree in Engineering of a recognized University;

(ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Telecommunication/ Electronics from a recognized University or Institute;

(iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Technical Operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an organization or Institution of repute.

OR

(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Telecommunication Engineering;

(ii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching in Technical Operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an institution or organization of repute.

OR

(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent;

(ii) At least 5 years’ professional experience including teaching in Technical Operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an institution or organization of repute.


(b) Desirable


Good knowledge of Film & TV medium in India and abroad.


Post at Sr.No.14 : Film Research Officer


(a) Essential


(i) Master's Degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities of a recognized University;

(ii) Knowledge of Indian and foreign Cinema.


(b) Desirable


Research and/or writing experience in the field of Cinema.



NOTE :

The upper age limit (a) is relaxable in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, Persons With Disabilities as per rules; (b) shall not apply to employees of Central Government/State Government or their Corporations, Undertakings or Societies and employees of the FTII; (c) is also relaxable by 10 years for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor if they otherwise fulfill the qualifications.

Service Conditions are governed as per Civil Services Conduct Rules of Government of India and wherever these rules are not there, FTII Rules are applicable.

The applicants should fill up the application form in the prescribed proforma (Annexure) after ensuring that they fulfill all the essential qualifications/professional experience together with attested copies of supporting documents. The completed applications must reach to the Administrative Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune-411004 within 60 (sixty) days from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.

Each application should be accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped category only) drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, payable at PUNE. Remittance in cash, postal orders or cheques will not be accepted. The envelope should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ____________________________________” .

TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE

The SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid single Second Class Railway fare from the normal place of residence to the place of interview i.e. Pune and back on production of proof of their belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and production of xerox copies of journey tickets to Pune.
